there is something called a “flea comb” that is carried by most pet stores. it has really fine teeth and as you comb it through the fur it catches the fleas and pulls them off. put a little flea spray in a bowl, dip the very tip 0f the comb’s teeth in the spray, pull it through the fur and then dip any fleas you get into the spray t0 kill them. when you are done, wet a washcloth and wipe the puppy off. good luck.

For puppies and kittens that are too young t0 use regular flea medication, bathe them in Ivory dishwashing liquid. This WILL NOT keep the fleas off, but will kill the ones that are presently on the animal, giving them relief until they are old enough t0 get on regular medication.

We have always used Adam’s flea spray on very young puppies. As long as you avoid the eyes it is okay. We have never had any problems and our vet recommmended it t0 us. You can find it at any pet store but talk t0 your vet first.

(and besides it’s otc) what we do at the vet office i work at is use dawn dish shop it works wonders. And also get a flea come. DO NOT GET A FLEA COLLAR THEY ARE MORE HARM THEN GOOD, AND IF YOU DO DECIDE TO GO USE A PRODUCT (WHICH YOU SHOULDN’T DO) DO NOT USE ANYTHING MADE BY HERTZ, WE GET MORE COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT AT WORK THEN GOOD THINGS.
